Yesterday, after work, I visited Sleeper Public Library in Ubly, Michigan to work on my encyclopedia project for Dr. Anghelescu’s LIS 6120 class. It was not my first time there, but my first time as a “patron” – loved it. Very comfortable, warm, and welcoming. I see myself going back to work on further assignments. I loved the table/chairs in the back of the fiction section (photo to come).

Note to Self: Britannica is draining. Micropaedia, Macropaedia, Index, and Propaedia! (Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!) Seriously?! Lots of information really good information, “see also”s, photos, and a bibliography that made me giddy. On the flip side, I could see the average user/patron a bit intimidated and even, possibly, slightly frustrated. Worldbook and Collier’s were thorough yet efficient.

Needless to say, after calming myself (I loved the bibliography!!), I slept like a champ. Executive summary work for LIS 6080…
